Biography

Frédéric Strack holds a PhD in political science (Paris-Panthéon-Assas University) and is an associate doctor at GSRL and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada) within the Law and Religion Chair. His PhD dissertation analyzes the relationship between religious fundamentalism and liberal society based on the case of Orthodox Judaism in France since the 1980s. 

His current research focuses on the public regulation of religious minorities. He is the author of Les juifs orthodoxes en France (1980-2023). Une minorité religieuse face à l’État laïque (Orthodox Jews in France (1980-2023). A religious minority facing the secular state) (Presses universitaires de Rennes, 2025).
