Biography
Leyla Bloch-Blouza is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the CERI, under the supervision of Stéphane Lacroix. A former student of the École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay and a graduate of Sciences Po’s Research Master’s in Political Science, she continued her academic training at the European University Institute, where she spent a year conducting predoctoral research.
Her research focuses on the interactions between religion and politics in the Near East. More specifically, her doctoral research examines, from a historical-sociological perspective, the role of religious actors within Palestinian and Lebanese Islamist movements since the 1920s.
