Ronald Hatto, political scientist, holds a PhD in Political Science (2005), an Habilitation à diriger des recherches from Sciences Po (2012) and a Master Degree in International Relations from University of Montreal (1997-1998).
He was a Rotary Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution Fellow (Sciences Po 2005) and a Post-doctoral Fellow at CERI (2006). His Dissertation focused on The Burden Sharing in the Transatlantic Security: The Franco-American Relations during the War in the Former-Yugoslavia (1991-1995) which was awarded the Dalloz prize (2006) for its excellency in international relations and Le Figaro/Sciences Po prize (2007) for the best junior researcher in political science.

Ronald HATTO has served in the UNFICYP (United Nations Force in Cyprus) as a peacekeeper in the Canadian Army. He held multiple academic positions at the University of Montreal and Sciences Po and he was associate researcher with the Groupe d'étude et de recherche sur la sécurité internationale (GERSI).


Since 2000, he is teaching several classes in international relations at Sciences Po (Paris School of International Relations (PSIA) and Collège universitaire). His current research focus on international security, UN peacekeeping, international order, military sociology (young people and the Army). He is a member of the Research Network on Peace Operations (ROP) and of the Observatoire sur les missions de paix et opérations humanitaires.
