[Club 150 NYC] A Conversation with Dean Laurence Tubiana
About this event
22 September 2026 from 18:00 until 20:00
The Sciences Po American Foundation is pleased to host a Club 150 Conversation with Laurence Tubiana (Dean of Sciences Po’s newest graduate school, the Paris Climate School) on Tuesday September 22nd from 6-8pm at L’Oreal's NYC offices (10 Hudson Yards).
Sciences Po has just launched the Paris Climate School, the first in continental Europe entirely dedicated to ecological transition. At a time when the climate emergency demands a new kind of leadership, the Paris Climate School is Sciences Po's answer: a school that trains decision makers in governance, finance, law, and policy with the mission to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable world. Its inaugural cohort of 100 students begins this autumn, and a pioneering dual-degree partnership with Columbia Climate School creates a transatlantic pipeline of climate leaders between Paris and New York.
To lead the Paris Climate School, Sciences Po turned to the person who helped make the Paris Agreement possible. Laurence Tubiana served as France's chief climate negotiator at COP21, co-chaired the Citizens' Climate Convention, and has chaired the European Climate Foundation since 2017. Her appointment as inaugural Dean reflects the school's ambition: to combine academic excellence with the kind of real-world impact she has spent a career delivering.
Dean Tubiana will be in conversation with Rachel Barré, L'Oréal's Environmental Leadership Director, for a conversation on climate leadership, education, and what it will take to match the scale of the crisis.
Tickets must be reserved in advance and include drinks and light refreshments:
- General Admission – $35
- 2026 Giving Circle Members – Complimentary (email tanya@usscpo.org for code)
We look forward to seeing you there!
