Promoting entrepreneurship

Sciences Po has maintained close ties with business for over 40 years and at least 80 % of our graduates go on to work in the private sector.

The aim of Sciences Po Entrepreneurs and of the Centre for Entrepreneurship (fr) is to encourage more students to pursue entrepreneurial careers. They do this by raising students’ awareness of business creation very early on in their studies and helping those interested in starting a business to develop and implement their project. Entrepreneurship training fits naturally into Sciences Po’s educational approach, which aims to impart action-oriented knowledge, develop students’ teamwork skills and hone their ability to lead projects in an increasingly complex environment.

The Sciences Po Entrepreneurs programme also leverages and contributes to the wealth of the Sciences Po community. Young project leaders can draw on an active network of faculty members and partner companies to make their initiative a success.

It’s a training course, not an entrepreneurship major or a Master’s degree in entrepreneurship. The programme is designed to allow all students to develop their entrepreneurial project, regardless of the Master’s programme in which they are enrolled. The course is also open to students on internship or who have recently graduated from Sciences Po.

The course content aims to attract students to careers in entrepreneurship, to train them, to select project leaders and to bring the best projects to the startup creation and development stage in the Sciences Po Business Incubator. Six or seven startups each year benefit from the premises, logistical support and various services offered at the Incubator for a 12 month-period.
