Banque de France/Sciences Po Research Seminar - March 30th

The next Banque de France/Sciences Po Research Seminar "Banks and the Financial System: what regulation?" will host Vivien LEVY-GARBOUA (Affiliate professor SciencesPo) on the theme:

Low rates: what incidence on the financial system?

The Seminar will also host Natacha VALLA (Deputy Director of CEPII) who will provide her view on the subject.

Julia CAGÉ awarded the Prix spécial du Jury of the 2016 edition of the "Prix des Assises"

TheĀ  9th edition of the "Assises internationales du journalisme et de l'information" was held March 9th to 11th in Tours.

Organised by the Association Journalisme & Citoyenneté, the "Assises" is one of its most important events of the year whose goal is to foster debate and exchange between journalists and other 'information' professionals and experts, as well as citizens.

On March 10th it awarded a "prix spécial du jury" to the Department's Julia CAGÉ for her book "Sauver les médias" (ed Seuil and La République des Idées). The jury was made presided by Laurent JOFFRIN (Director of Libération) and made up of journalists and academics.

Peter SCHOCHET (Mathematica Policy Research, Princeton)

The Department of Economics is pleased to announce the arrival of Peter SCHOCHET, Senior Fellow at Mathematica Policy Research at Princeton.

Peter SCHOCHET is a methodological expert in experimental and nonexperimental evaluations of interventions in education, employment, and welfare.

He will present a talk organised by the Chaire de sécurisation des parcours professionnels on April 15th "Job Corps: Lessons from US programmes for at-risk / disadvantaged youth" (LINK to conference programme and registration)
