EULAS – EU-Latin America Academic Synergies

The project

EULAS is a Jean Monnet Network dedicated to fostering research, innovation, and collaboration between Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

It is funded for a 36-month period (December 2024 to November 2027) by the EU under the Erasmus+ programme.

Project objectives

In today’s rapidly shifting international landscape, EULAS aims to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of EU policy towards the LAC region. It therefore seeks to:

  • Generate, discuss, and disseminate cutting-edge knowledge on EU-LAC relations and the EU’s external policies;
  • Foster continuous learning and public engagement;
  • Create a long-lasting space for dialogue between European and Latin American academic institutions and policy actors.

As part of the project, the Sciences Po team will disseminate the results of comparative research between EU and LA countries on the following subjects: the environment; governance; transformations of the state; cities (political participation, AI and data); and criminal organisations and networks.
