The Indo-French Circle

The Indo-French Circle, founded in 2023, brings together Sciences Po students, alumni, and South Asia enthusiasts through a dynamic network connecting Paris and India. Our mission is to foster cultural, academic, and professional ties across South Asia, while promoting the region — particularly India, where most of our members are based — as a key hub for innovation, dialogue, and opportunity.

Led by a team of Sciences Po students and alumni based between Paris and India, the Circle serves as a living bridge, creating opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and meaningful engagement through a variety of cultural, professional, and social initiativesRecent highlights include the Diwali conference with the Indian Ambassador to France, a private visit of the South Asia Collection at the Louvre Museum, the co-organization of the Holi Festival with the Jardin d’Acclimatation, and a discussion and visit of the Pakistani artist exhibition at Galerie Ithaque, featuring participation from Indian entrepreneurs and cultural leaders.

The Circle embodies Sciences Po’s values of openness, excellence, and equal opportunity.

Association for Asia at Sciences Po Paris (APA)

The Association for Asia at Sciences Po Paris stands out as the only campus association offering a broad spectrum of Asian representation, covering both cultural and political topics. True to the spirit of openness and diversity that characterizes Sciences Po, the association promotes the richness of Asian cultures through various events, aligned with the academic and international sensibilities of the institution.

Among its initiatives, visits to the embassies of Mongolia, Azerbaijan, and China help build diplomatic ties while deepening debates on current geopolitical issues. The association also celebrates major Asian festivals, such as Lunar New Year, Diwali, and Holi, by organizing lively and festive after-work gatherings. The Bollywood Party, for instance, is a highlight, as is the annual gala showcasing South Asian traditions through Indian fashion shows, Bollywood-inspired dance performances, and Indian music.

This cultural engagement aims to highlight Desi culture while including Asia's diverse influences, such as Arab, Indian, and Eastern traditions, in line with the principles of plurality and intellectual debate promoted by Sciences Po. The association thus provides a unique space to raise awareness among the student community about the diversity of Asian cultures and to engage in discussions on a variety of themes, from culture to politics, in keeping with the academic values and openness of the institution.
