Sciences Po Cybersecurity AssociationSecuring Dignity: Rethinking Cybersecurity Through the Gendered Harms of AI
As generative AI becomes more present in our daily digital lives, technology-facilitated gender-based violence is becoming increasingly visible and urgent. From gendered harassment in comment sections to deepfakes and emotionally invasive AI systems, new technologies are creating new forms of insecurity, especially for women and girls.
Join us for a roundtable discussion to explore these harms through the lens of both gender-based violence and cybersecurity. Because digital safety is not only about protecting systems and data, but also about protecting people, dignity, and safe participation in online spaces.
We are pleased to welcome:
- Ana Catarina de Alencar — Paris-based digital regulation lawyer, ethicist, and Resident Philosopher at The AI Collective. Currently a PhD researcher at Université de Lille focusing on the intersection of emotional AI, law, and data governance, she is also the author of the 2022 book Artificial Intelligence, Ethics and Law.
- Theodora Skeadas — AI governance and trust & safety leader who serves as Head of AI Red Teaming at Humane Intelligence and Community Policy Manager at DoorDash. A Harvard graduate and PhD researcher at King's College London studying the link between online and offline harms, she also holds prominent board leadership roles at All Tech is Human and the Integrity Institute.
