[Call for Papers] Counter-Surveillance: Theories, Practices, and Representations
Organised by the Centre Bentham (Sciences Po Law School), Law and Humanities (CERSA, Université Paris Panthéon-Assas) and CEThicS (Institut Catholique de Lille), this interdisciplinary conference will take place at Université Paris Panthéon-Assas on 3–4 December 2026.
It invites contributions on the theories, practices and representations of counter-surveillance. Building on recent research on Bentham’s Panopticon and contemporary surveillance, the event seeks to foster critical reflection on the relationships between surveillance, democracy, agency and resistance.
Deadline for title submission: 1 September 2026.
Deadline for abstract submission: 15 October 2026.
