TRACKS : Research and Clinic
To further enable students to personalize their academic experience in the General LLM program, two specialized tracks are available: the Research track and the Clinic track. These tracks are integrated into the curriculum and provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in specific areas of legal practice.
This track is particularly aimed at students interested in research and who would like to experiment with research work that spans over time (one academic year). This opportunity allows students to work during both semesters of the General LLM under the supervision of a permanent Faculty member of the Law School on a research topic. Students enrolled in this track also benefit from seminars on research methods offered to the doctoral students from the Law School. They are also invited to some of the research-dedicated events organized within the School.
This research work concludes at the end of the academic year with the writing and defense of a thesis. This is an opportunity to experiment for one academic year and under the supervision of specialists in the field of study, research work in all its aspects and thus produce a thesis.
Admission to the Research track is not automatic. Interested students are invited to submit an application file in June prior to the start of the General LLM program. All information will be made available during the Spring semester.
The Law School Clinic will welcome a limited number of students from the General LLM program each year. Joining the Clinic allows students, through public interest projects developed with partners, to learn law through practice while benefiting from demanding and rigorous supervision.
This unique opportunity allows students to practice law concretely for two semesters and to bring a reflective perspective, informed by the knowledge acquired during their training, to the work accomplished during the project defense at the end of the year. For more information, you can browse the pages dedicated to the Law School Clinic.
Admission to the Clinic track is not automatic. The different steps of the application procedure will be provided during the Spring semester.
