PhD Program : Admission

Admission requirement

The program is open to students holding the equivalent of a Master degree from a French or a foreign institution and the program lasts 3 years (PhD).

The language of the program is either French or English. Fluency in either of these languages is required.

Admission process

The admission procedure is composed of several stages which are outlined below. Only one application per year.

Applicants shall send their application material.

The procedure for direct admission to a PhD will open on October 15th, 2020.

Submission of the complete application form for the PhD program in Law is due either on January 21st, 2021 at midnight (first session) for an admission decision by the end of February 2021 or on May 19th, 2021 at midnight (second session) for an admission decision first half of July 2021.

The candidacy is then screened by the Admission Committee.

Successful candidates will be invited to perform an audition heard by an audition panel composed of faculty members. The audition consists of an oral presentation of the research project followed by a discussion.

Following completion of the audition process, the panel will produce a list of successful applicants in order of merit.

Financial conditions

PhD Students in law receive financial support.
