Biography

Lucas Lam, who holds a bachelor's and master's degree in sociology from Sciences Po Paris, focuses his research on the conditions under which elected officials carry out their duties. As part of a doctoral thesis combining sociology and political science, he is interested in the consequences of the mayor's mandate on the professional and family life of elected officials.

Member of the ANR-ELUSAN research project, Elected Officials and Health, coordinated by Didier Demazière. Contribution to the research note published in November 2024 by the Association of Mayors of France, ‘Being a mayor today: Committed, overwhelmed, mistreated: what are the effects on health?’
