Biography
His work focuses on higher education and research policies. It aims to understand, from a historical perspective, the restructuring of the state’s involvement in higher education and research and its consequences for the academic profession. In this context, Jérôme Aust has focused in particular on policies aimed at supporting “excellence” in the French academic system (IDEX, LABEX, etc.), as well as on the origins and reforms of project-based funding for research in biology.
