BIO
His work focuses on higher education and research policies, seeking to understand, from an historical perspective, the restructurings of the forms of state intervention in higher education and research as well as their effects on academic professions and on the territorial application of these policies. Within this context, Jérôme Aust has recently inquired into the implementation of policies aiming to support the “excellence” of the French academic system (IDEX, LABEX, etc.) and into the historical uses of project-based funding for research in biology.
