This month, we are pleased to welcome as our visiting guest:

Gabriel Kahan is a PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His current research follows two broad agendas. The first agenda draws on mixed methods to evaluate state-led decarbonization. The second agenda centers on “financial democracy” — the project of broadening participation in financial systems to ensure the provision of public goods. Gabriel is welcomed to the CSO by Sophie Dubuisson-Quellier and will be at the CSO until August, returning later for a year.

Emily Huddart (PhD, University of Alberta) is an Associate Head and Professor of Sociology at the University of British Columbia. Her research explores the motivations behind civic engagement aiming to protect the environment, and how pro-environmental practices reflect and reproduce social differences. Emily Huddart is being hosted by Manisha Anantharaman and is visiting the CSO until the end of July.
