Biography
Etienne Nouguez holds a Ph.D. in sociology and has been a research fellow at the CNRS since 2011. His research focuses on two complementary areas.
The first area aims to uncover the mechanisms underlying the structuring of markets and the promotion of health products (medicines, foods, drugs) by examining the relationships between regulatory agencies, manufacturers, experts, healthcare professionals, and consumers.
The second area focuses on local public health policies developed by local governments, healthcare professionals and organizations, civil society actors, and Regional Health Agencies. Exploring these two research areas aims to understand how the concept of health value becomes institutionalized within political and market-based organizations.
