PhD student at the Center for Organizational Sociology and assistant professor of sociology at Sciences Po. Damien Garcia is interested in how environmental health controversies influence the law, as well as the practices and trajectories of the professionals who implement it. Symmetrically, he studies how the law and its professionals influence the definition and trajectory of these controversies. He draws on work dedicated to environmental justice, sociology of law studies questioning cause lawyering practices and their evidentiary work, and the political sociology of science.
