CRIS Incoming Mobility Grant for scholars from the Global South

The Centre for Research on Social Inequalities invites applications for its Incoming Mobility Grant 2026.
This grant aims to support short-term research visits by international scholars whose work aligns with the scientific priorities of CRIS and who intend to develop or strengthen collaborations with CRIS faculty members aimed at joint publications or research projects.
This call targets scholars from the Global South.

Grant Details

  • Amount: €3000 (Contribution to travel and living expenses during the research stay at CRIS - Paris)
  • Duration: +/- 1 month
  • Period: The stay must take place in 2026

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Hold an academic position (faculty member, postdoctoral researcher, PhD candidate or equivalent) at a university or research institution
  • Conduct research relevant to CRIS research themes
  • Be sponsored and recommended by a CRIS faculty member, who will act as host during the stay

Application Requirements

Applications must include:

  • A Curriculum Vitae
  • A Letter of intent describing the collaborative research project to be conducted during the stay; its relevance to CRIS research priorities and the expected outcomes (e.g. joint publications, project submissions)
  • The name of the CRIS faculty member who has accepted to sponsor and recommend the application

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Scientific quality and feasibility of the proposed project
  • Relevance to CRIS research themes
  • Quality and sustainability of the collaboration with CRIS members
  • Expected contribution to the Centre’s scientific activities
  • Affiliation to a university or research institution based in the Global South
