Biography
Eulalie Saïsset is a PhD Candidate in Economics at Sciences Po (Centre for Research on social InequalitieS) and CIRED, under the supervision of Lucas Chancel (PSE & Sciences Po) and Harold Levrel (AgroParisTech & CIRED). Her research is funded by the French Ministry for Ecological Transition, where she works in an operational department in charge of land use planning and biodiversity conservation policies. She has also received a grant from the Fondation Palladio to support her work.
From January 2025, she will be a visiting researcher at the Department of Geography and Environment at the London School of Economics.
Her work involves studying the equity issues in policies preventing land take in France, within the global context of addressing land degradation and biodiversity loss. Her research interests lie at the intersection between environmental justice, land economics, and biodiversity conservation. More information about her ongoing research projects can be found here.
She holds a master’s degree in engineering from Mines Paris and a master’s degree in economics from the Paris School of Economics, and has previously worked at the World Bank and the environmental consultancy I Care & Consult.
