Biography

I began my PhD thesis in September 2023, under the supervision of Agnès van Zanten and in collaboration with the DEPP. My work focuses on the careers of primary school teachers through the prism of their mobility between schools. The aim is not only to understand the movements of these teachers and their unequal distribution within the education system, but also to identify the role of these mobilities in the construction of a career path and professional identity. This study is therefore in line with issues linked to the sociology of education, notably the link between teacher mobility and the social characteristics of schools; and with questions relating to the sociology of professions, notably the notions of internal segmentation and careers. In this work, I mobilize both quantitative methods (regressions, sequence analyses, mapping) and qualitative methods (biographical interviews). These methods come together in a longitudinal approach aimed at understanding mobility between school over the long term.
I have also worked on the marketing and recruitment techniques of private post-baccalaureate schools to attract high-school students during their transition to higher education.
