Paolo Graziano

Paolo Graziano is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Padua and a Research Associate at the European Social Observatory, Brussels. He has held visiting positions at a number of universities, including - among others – Cornell University, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Sciences Po in Paris, University of Melbourne, University of Washington, European University Institute, University of Roskilde, University of Amsterdam, University of California Berkeley. He is co-editor of Governance (2018- ) and President the year of office (2019-2020) of the APSA Conference Group on Italian Politics (CONGRIPS).

His work on Europeanization, European public policy, social movements and populist parties has appeared or is about to appear in the following journals: Governance, European Journal for Political Research, West European Politics, Public Management Review, International Political Science Review, The Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, Comparative European Politics, Mediterranean Politics, Italian Political Science Review, Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of European Social Policy, Journal of Social Policy, Social Policy and Administration, European Societies, International Journal of Social Welfare, Global Social Policy, Regional & Federal Studies, Journal of Consumer Culture.

Research interests

Europeanization, European public policy, comparative welfare state politics and policies, social movements, (neo)populism, urban participatory democracy.
