How to order data
he datasets in CDSP’s Databank can be downloaded from data.sciencespo.fr. The data disseminated by CDSP are available either in open access, or restricted to the academic community (researchers, students, engineers...) under a CC BY-SA 4.0 license. The general terms and conditions of use must be accepted before data can be downloaded. Under these terms and conditions, secondary users undertake to maintain the integrity, citation requirements and anonymity of respondents.
Logging in or registering for the first time
In order to download data from the CDSP Databank, you need to log into data.sciencespo.fr, preferably using your institutional email (Renater ID) if you belong to a French academic institution.
Otherwise, you can create an account by clicking on “Register to obtain a Dataverse account” in order to enter your status information manually.
Subsequent logins
If your first login was via the directory, your institution will appear above “Please select". Click on this for all future logins. If the name of the institution is not displayed, you need to select it again from the scroll-down list.
If you have created an account, click on “Other Options - Username/Email” and enter the relevant ID information.
Downloading files
Once you have logged in, go to the “Files” tab for the data you want to look at. If the files you want to download are open access, you can click directly on the icon to the right of the file. The download options, in particular the file formats, will be displayed.
If you want to download several files for a single reference, click instead on the “Download" button (top right) after selecting the files. Your download will be compressed into a single zip file.
If a file is under restricted access (indicated by a padlock icon), click the “Request Access” button in the top right corner after selecting the file(s) you are interested in.
If your downloads concern several datasets, a separate access request must be made for each of them.
For restricted files, requests are usually processed by CDSP staff within 48 hours.
