Procedure for extending or terminating an internship. Should you wish to end your internship early, you need the approval from your host organisation and Academic Advisor.

Procedure for extending an internship

Step 1

• Connection to your Student space
• Go to: Student interface > Manage your internships (validate an internship agreement) > I want to track the status of my agreement request > print my agreement, or extend/terminate my internship and print the amendment.

Step 2

Validation of your internship agreement amendment by Sciences Po Careers.

Step 3

Amendment signature; Once your request is validated by Sciences Po Careers, you will receive a notification by email informing you to print your amendment, which should be signed by you and your host organization before handing it in to Sciences Po Careers.

Step 4

Sending by email of a copy signed by Sciences Po Careers, you will receive a copy of your amendment by email from the Sciences Po Careers (scpo.carrieres@sciencespo.fr).

Procedure for terminating an internship

Step 1

• Log in to your Student Area
• Go to: Student interface > Manage your internships (validate an internship agreement) > I want to track the status of my agreement request > print my agreement, or extend/terminate my internship and print the amendment

Steps 2 to 4

Follow the same procedure as to extend an internship (see above)

Two cases:

Case 1: You wish to terminate your internship

Termination cannot be unilateral. You must obtain prior consent of your internship tutor. Also, you must comply with article 9 of the internship agreement.

Case 2: The host organization wishes to terminate your internship

If the intern fails to comply with the obligations listed in the internship agreement, the host organization has the option to terminate the internship after prior consultation with Sciences Po Careers.
