Reimbursement of Medical Costs
As soon as you sign up for the general social security system (régime général), set up an online account on the ameli.fr website so that you can check your reimbursements, manage your account and download certificates.
After seeing a general or specialist doctor, you need to follow the steps (parcours de soins coordonné (fr.)) and declare your chosen doctor to the social security administration through your account on ameli.
If you are a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) holder (Carte européenne d’assurance maladie), you must call “3646”, request the international relations department (service des relations internationales) and make an appointment to have your medical costs reimbursed. You can also send your treatment forms to the following address: Service relation internationale, CPAM CS 70001, 75948 Paris Cedex 19.
Students who are eligible for the continuation of their student social security cover during the 2018-2019 academic year
