Rony Brauman is a medical doctor specialized in tropical medicine and epidemiology and the former president of Doctors without Borders during 12 years from 1982 to 1994. An accomplished professional in humanitarian action, he has been on numerous missions all over the world, mainly in contexts of armed conflicts. He has written several books and articles, reflecting on his work and leading the study of this field of action. Rony Brauman was the founding academic advisor of the Master in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action at PSIA in 2010. With this conference, PSIA wishes to honor his work and extraordinary contribution to the field of humanitarian action by discussing two key topics.
