Lakhdar Brahimi, PSIA Distinguished Professor of Practice, appointed UN-Arab League Joint Envoy to Syria
Paris, August 21, 2012: Lakhdar Brahimi, PSIA Distinguished Professor of Practice and renowned international mediator, appointed UN-Arab League Joint Envoy to Syria.
Lakhdar Brahimi began his teaching career at the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po in 2010, sharing a wealth of diplomatic experience with PSIA students.
His course on "Conflict Resolution" quickly became a cornerstone of PSIA's Master of International Security and one of the most demanded courses among students of the leading school of international affairs in Paris. PSIA students stated that Brahimi’s “passion for the topic is palpable”, and that his course was a “highlight” of their studies, as Professor Brahimi ”shares fantastic experience, fascinating insights and extensive knowledge.”
