    This workshop presented the results of the case studied carried out by four researchers in France, Germany, Italy and Poland. It discussed the way the European funds have been able to contribute to meeting the needs of regions in crisis period.

  • Europeanisation after EU accession: Transformation, reform and compliance in recent EU member states

    The CoesioNet network together with CIFE organises a conference on "Europeanisation after EU accession: Transformation, reform and compliance in recent EU member states". This conference aims at debatting the way new member states have adapted their institutions to integrate the European rules. This conference will be held in Nice on March 23-24 2012.

  • New territorial development model: macro-regions and cross-border cooperation

    CoesioNet is working together with the Institute for European Integration Research of Vienna and the European Policies Research Centre of Strathclyde university in the framework of the Regional Studies Association to organise a series of three workhops. The first one was held in Vienna on November 29-30 2011 and was dedicated to "Multi-level governance and partnership in EU cohesion policy". The second workshop will be held in Paris on March 15, 2012 on "New territorial development model: macro-regions and cross-border cooperation".     The last workshop will be held in Strathclyde in the fall 2012 and will be dedicated to "Delivering a more results-oriented EU cohesion policy".

     

     

     

  • Cohesion policy and the challenge of inter-regional solidarity

    A workshop, organised on January 27, 2012 discussed the extent to which cohesion policy can bring solidiarity in Europe. This issue is particularly relevant in the present crisis requiring increased financial solidarity in Europe. CoesioNet proposed therefore a debate on the solidarity issue.

  • European Union - ASEAN: regional integration from two perspectives

    The morning session presented the possible evolution of EU on the one hand and ASEAN on the other hand in a mid term perspective and discuss territorial inequalities, growth and social development, innovation and cohesion. The afternoon session discussed new models of territorial development and how within a specific regional they take into account the main challenges of infrastructures, energy, environment or transports. This was illustrated by the macro-regions in Europe and by the Greater Mekong Subregion in Asia.   • Vienna Workshop - Multi-level governance and partnership in EU cohesion policy

  • Thematic workshop - 27 June 2011

    The workshop of the group "Services of General Interest and Cohesion" will discuss the positions of the trade unions and of the civil society in the debate on services of general interest in Europe. Moreover the group "Governance" will debate on the instruments of cohesion policy, on their implementation and their efficiency in terms of social and territorial cohesion in Europe.
