The MENA Program is organising a doctoral seminar to provide PhD candidates and master students writing their theses focusing on MENA countries with a space to exchange and discuss historical, political, sociological, economic and urban issues in the region, as well as methodological questions related to research in the MENA context.
The doctoral seminar will be held once a month, in French or English, and will be open to PhD candidates, master students, and members of Sciences Po research community focusing on MENA countries. Each session, a PhD candidate or a master student will present their ongoing research work. The presentation will be followed by an open discussion led by a researcher from Sciences Po or from another academic institution, which will allow students to better address some of the various aspects of the research process : theoretical framework, object construction, data collection...
