AIRE Annual Day (27/05/2026) - Call for Panels & Papers
After the success of our second annual AIRE conference in June 2025, we will be organizing the third edition of this event on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. This full day event aims to bring together the growing environmental research community of Sciences Po around panel sessions, a shared lunch and a keynote lecture.
To ensure the conference contributes to AIRE's aim of bringing environmental researchers at Sciences Po together across centers and disciplines, we welcome panels proposals as well as individual proposals and papers that consider the following criteria :
- Panels should focus on environmental research, broadly understood, at Sciences Po.
- Panels should bring together 3-4 speakers. The exact format of panels is up to panel organizers. Discussants are optional.
- Panels should focus on bringing Sciences Po colleagues together. Non-Sciences Po colleagues are certainly welcome to participate and attend, but panels should be organized by at least one member of Sciences Po, and a majority of panel participants should be Sciences Po members
- Panels should focus on interdisciplinarity. Panel organizers are therefore encouraged to co-organize with colleagues from other disciplines or other Sciences Po research centers, and in particular to bring together presenters with diverse disciplinary perspectives.
- We encourage panels to bring together both junior and senior colleagues, either in terms of organizers and/or participants. PhD’s, postdocs, professors; everyone is welcome to present their work (also if it is work in progress).
- We explicitly welcome, in any capacity, colleagues who do not primarily self-identify as environmental researchers, but who are interested in presenting environment-relevant work at the conference.
Do not hesitate to send individual contribution and proposition, we will then connect you with other researchers and existing panels.
Panel proposal should include
- A title
- An abstract (max. 250 words)
- Details of panel organizers (name, affiliation)
- A list of (potential) presenters (names and affiliations)
Individual Contribution/Paper proposal should include
- A title
- An abstract (max. 250 words)
- Details of presenters (name, affiliation)
Deadline : 01 March 2026
We look forward to receiving your ideas! If you are interested in organizing a panel, but are not sure about who to involve, we are happy to help you find the right partners within Sciences Po.
