Sciences Po Executive Education guides you through the eligibility process for the Mastercard Foundation scholarship.

If you can answer yes to either of these questions, you can Apply for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Sciences Po to join the African Potential: Strategic Development and Management Executive Master Programme.

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program provides financial support to cover tuition fees, travel between Paris and your home country, accommodation and living expenses in Paris during the four sessions. 

Important: applicants are expected to have excellent spoken and written French language skills. However, all assessed projects can be written in English. Your French language proficiency will be assessed during an interview.

How to apply for a Mastercard Foundation scholarship for the Executive Masters programme.

Step 1 – Application to the Master’s programme

Submit an application for the African Potential: Strategic Development and Management Executive Masters programme (online procedure open from 1 May to 30 June 2026, 11:59 pm). 

Additional documents to be submitted with your Executive Masters application:

  • a letter from your employer confirming your status as an employee of one of the Mastercard Foundation's partner organisations (see list below).
  • or a proof of scholarship from the Mastercard Foundation of your higher education studies.

Step 2 – Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program application process

Scholarship selection period: 1 to 30 September 2026. 

Final checks on eligibility for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program and the awarding of the scholarship will be carried out by the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program team at Sciences Po between 1 and 30 September 2026. 

However, you must provide the documents confirming your eligibility for the scholarship at the time of submitting your application to the programme (between 1 May and 30 June 2026). 

Candidates who are enrolled in the Executive Masters programme and eligible for the scholarship will be invited to attend a virtual interview by the Scholars Program team.  

Only the applications of candidates accepted in to the Executive Masters programme will be assessed for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. 

Note that you may be requested to provide additional documents or information during the scholarship application process to support your application. 

Eligible organisations

Only the alumni of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program and employees of the following organisations can apply for the scholarship. 

N.B. Priority will be given to candidates who meet one of these two criteria and belong to one of the Mastercard Foundation’s priority groups (women, refugees, displaced people, people living with disabilities
