Companies are often overlooked as geopolitical actors, with world affairs being seen as the business of governments. In reality, corporations are deeply involved in both shaping and navigating geopolitics, and have been for much of history. With the world returning to a more turbulent era of great power competition and conflict, the stakes are existential for international firms, and the complex web of supply chains, laws, and systems upon which they depend. This panel will discuss how corporations view the geopolitical risk problem, and how they are adapting to growing turbulence in the global system.
