The R Course was organised by the project team and delivered by Kristian Skrede Gleditsch from the University of Essex. This training event was designed as an in-depth introductory course to R for researchers who primarily use survey data and socio-political data. R is a freeware statistical computing language software, which continuous to gain popularity amongst researchers and research students due to containing certain advanced statistical routines not yet available in other packages, as well as very versatile graphics tools. The course was very well attended and received by PhD students and staff from across the College.
