2015 – ResponsiveGov team presents at MPSA

Researchers from the ResponsiveGov team presented at the 73rd annual MPSA conference (April 16-19) at the Palmer House Hilton, Chicago. Luca Bernardi’s paper (‘Is the Budget Vulnerable? Policy Responsiveness and Competitive Incentives’) develops an empirical framework of competitive incentives for government responsiveness and applies it to government spending as an indicator of policy responsiveness. Daniel Bischof‘s paper (‘Are Parties Responsive to Protest? A Comparative Analysis in 12 Western Democracies‘) analyzes the impact of protest and public opinion on the rhetorical responsiveness of political parties.
