Common Core Curriculum

Objectives

The common core courses at Master's level are central to Sciences Po's educational model. They are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they will need to become change leaders in an uncertain world. The courses are cross-cutting and topic-based, in the university's cross-disciplinary tradition. They each draw on intellectual tools from across the entire social science spectrum, bringing them to bear on a crucial issue facing contemporary societies, many of which can only be addressed through a systemic and comprehensive approach.

These courses are a unique opportunity for Sciences Po students from different programmes to mix and help give our students a sense of community.

The common core courses are directly informed by Sciences Po's policy of pedagogical innovation. They are lecture courses.
