Philippe Martin is leaving the chair of the departmentIn 2009, Philippe created the department of economics at Sciences Po and in 4 year, he managed to lead the department to the highest standards of academic research and scholarship. We are all grateful to him for his great involvement in the successful growth and development of the department. The term of office comes to an end for Philippe but he will stay at the department, as a professor, and will focus on his research, whereas starting from September, Jean-Marc Robin will become the new chairman of the department. Melissa, as academic advisor for the Master Economic and public policy
Pauline, as academic advisor for the Master Economics and business
Michelle, as administrative assistant for the department
Melissa MundellMelissa Mundell has worked at Sciences Po
for the past six years. Project-oriented, she helped create the Paris School of
International Affairs (PSIA) in parallel to academic advising - for three
Master programmes, notably the Master in International Economic Policy - and
coordinating admissions to PSIA. Last year she headed up graduate admissions to
Sciences Po and piloted a major reform of the national admissions procedure.
Prior to Sciences Po, Melissa worked as project manager for a study on the
interconnection between culture and education commissioned by the European
Union at the Pôle universitaire européen de Lorraine. Upon immigrating to
France from Canada (Montreal), she undertook her studies at the University of
Nancy II, specialising in comparative human rights, constitutional and
anti-discrimination law (EU/USA/Canada) at the doctoral level. Melissa has
taught European human rights law as well as European Union law and politics at
Sciences Po's campus in Nancy and was ATER at the University of Nancy II. Pauline BensoussanBefore joining Sciences Po, Pauline worked during 5 years at PlaNet Finance, a French NGO specialized in microfinance. She was in charge of PlaNet University, the PlaNet Finance knowledge department and was as well the project director of a European Project named University Meets Microfinance supported by European Commission, GIZ and AFD. In 2008, she obtained a doctorate in Latin American societies studies from the Institut des Hautes Etudes de l'Amérique Latine (Paris 3 – Sorbonne Nouvelle) and Universidade Federal da Bahia (Brazil). Her research was focused on rural credit in the Brazilian northeast region. Since 2008, she has been teaching microfinance courses in various Universities and Business Schools in France. N’CHO will be an Administrative Assistant at the Departement of Economics
from July, 22nd. Michelle has been working at Sciences Po since 7 years, she has a great knowledge of our institution. |
