He is also the President of the Center for Economic and Financial Research at the New Economic School. Quoc-Anh Do awarded for the best paper in corporate financeCongratulations to Quoc-Anh Do (Associate Professor of economics at the Department of Economics and LIEPP at Sciences Po) on his receipt of the "SFS Finance Cavalcade Award for the Best Paper in Corporate Finance", sponsored by Harley Lippman, for its paper on "Political Connections and Firm Value: Evidence from the Regression Discontinuity Design of Close Gubernatorial Elections". In December 2012, Quoc-Anh Do had also received the 2nd prize in Applied Micro at the Premio SBE 2012 (Porto de Galinhas) for its paper entitled "Isolated Capital Cities and Misgovernance : Theory and Evidence". Certified AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) Examination: Results of Master Finance et Stratégie studentsAll future banking professionals are required to pass the AMF's certified examination. As of this year passing the exam has become mandatory for first year students (M1) enrolled in the master Finance et Stratégie programme. 88.9% of the students who took the exam this past May succeeded on their first try! Sciences Po is the only school in France that offers its graduate Finance et Stratégie students the opportunity to take the certified AMF examination as a free and compulsory component of their programme. Acquiring the AMF certificate is naturally a means not only of reinforcing our students' employability but also greatly beneficial for their future careers as it guarantees a solid grounding in French banking regulations. |
