What is the Ouriginal anti-plagiarism system?

Teaching students to use a wide range of digital sources (websites, online databases, etc.) while making use of digital citation techniques. Ouriginal helps you identify the digital sources that have been used without proper citation.

Remember, according to the Sciences Po code of academic conduct, any breach of elementary rules of honesty and probity constitutes a failure to respect academic obligations.

How does the Ouriginal anti-plagiarism system work?

  1. Students send their documents by email to the professor’s Ouriginal address. This address follows the following format: lastname.firstname.scpo @ analyse.urkund.com. It is preconfigured in your Google Apps contacts, in a folder dedicated to anti-plagiarism.
  2. The document is stored and analyzed on the Ouriginal server. This analysis consists in a comparison of the document with texts found on the Internet, the documents of other students, and published material (books, encyclopedias, etc.).
  3. The document and generated report are sent to the professor at his email adress : lastname.firstname@sciencespo.fr.
