With 2019 coming to an end, the Sciences Po American Foundation is recognizing its 10th Anniversary Year. As we enter a new decade, we are celebrating what we have accomplished in the United States so far, and looking forward to what we will achieve moving forward.
The Foundation has been privileged to surpass several milestones for our fundraising campaigns and initiatives, thanks to the generous support of our alumni and partner supporters. Since our inception, we have awarded nearly $10 million in scholarships, grants and funded research projects at Sciences Po, and have also invested over $3 million in endowed scholarship funds.
Furthermore, in an effort to accommodate our growing alumni community, the Foundation continued to broaden the portfolio of events catered towards alumni and their friends, from cocktails, networking opportunities, debates, and dinners in major cities throughout the United States, but also with the launch of the alumni community newsletter and its Alumni portraits section.
As we enter a new decade, we are embarking on a reinvigorated mission, focused on strengthening transatlantic ties through education, research, and thought leadership. Furthermore, the Foundation is committed to bringing the Sciences Po community in the United States closer and to foster more connections between the members of this network.
Below are a number of pathways to impact our foundation’s work into the new decade:
Founding Gifts & Supporting the Alumni Network
The Foundation is seeking gifts to create a financial infrastructure to bring thought-leadership and research initiatives under the umbrella of the Foundation, but also support Sciences Po’s alumni network in the U.S. as it is not funded by membership fees.
To that end, on behalf of the Foundation, I ask that you consider making a gift online that will support our staff, contribute to our events programs, develop our alumni network and create sustainable support for our Foundation’s ambitions for the year 2020, and beyond.
Growing our Support to Scholarships
To launch the new decade, the Foundation is seeking to support and enable more non-European students to study at Sciences Po at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. Already, our existing scholarships offer a pathway for some of the most gifted students in the United States and Sub-Saharan Africa to pursue international study, when they otherwise could not. If you are interested in contributing to a scholarship program that supports American students studying at Sciences Po, please express interest through this form.
