Discover the city
Located in Normandy, just two hours by train from Paris, Le Havre is France's biggest port. It is historically linked to Asia as the entry point for Asian products arriving in France.
The Sciences Po Welcome association (SPW!) offers to put you in contact with Le Havre families to help you stave off any homesickness.
The families are all enthusiastic volunteers who will help you discover the city, the region and the French art de vivre.
Fill out the online form and SPW! will put you in touch.
Le Havre has a vast public transport network, including bus, tram, train (TER) and a funicular railway (nicknamed Funi) that connects the upper and lower parts of the city: plan your route.
It's also possible to hire a bike (fr.) thanks to a long-term bike loan scheme.
Culture & Leisure
