Ces mobilit\u00e9s diverses dans le temps et l\u2019espace, sont marqu\u00e9es par la multiplicit\u00e9 de leurs motifs, de leurs trajectoires et de leurs r\u00e9percussions. En d\u00e9coule l\u2019imp\u00e9ratif de les analyser avec une attention tout aussi plurielle. Les nombreuses recherches conduites \u00e0 Sciences Po, en particulier\u00a0 au sein du groupe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/migration-diversite\/home\/\">Migration et Diversit\u00e9<\/a> r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 cette exigence et visent \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper de nouvelles approches.<\/p><p>Ce dossier pr\u00e9sente un aper\u00e7u de leur richesse :<\/p><ul><li>Arr\u00eat\u00e9e \u00e0 T\u00e9h\u00e9ran en juin 2019 puis condamn\u00e9e \u00e0 5 ans de prison au pr\u00e9texte d\u2019accusations mensong\u00e8res, notre coll\u00e8gue, Fariba Adelkhah, \u00e9tudie depuis longtemps une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de d\u00e9placements. Nous pr\u00e9sentons dans cet article introductif \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/relire-fariba-adelkhah-sur-la-route-de-teheran-a-damas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab Relire Fariba Adelkhah : sur la route de T\u00e9h\u00e9ran \u00e0 Damas \u00bb<\/a> \u2013 un de ses travaux o\u00f9 elle r\u00e9v\u00e8le les dimensions inattendues d\u2019un p\u00e8lerinage de femmes iraniennes \u00e0 Damas. On y d\u00e9couvre son regard d\u2019anthropologue attach\u00e9 \u00e0 la port\u00e9e sociale des d\u00e9tails du quotidien. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/relire-fariba-adelkhah-sur-la-route-de-teheran-a-damas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lire l\u2019article.<\/a><\/li><li>Avec son article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migrations-et-integrations-les-villes-globales-en-mediterranee-au-18eme-siecle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab Migrations et int\u00e9grations : les villes globales en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e au 18e si\u00e8cle \u00bb<\/a>, David Do Pa\u00e7o expose les modalit\u00e9s d\u2019int\u00e9gration des communaut\u00e9s \u00e9trang\u00e8res dans les cit\u00e9s m\u00e9diterran\u00e9ennes \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque moderne. Il y montre qu\u2019au-del\u00e0 des vecteurs collectifs \u2013 \u2018Nations\u2019, familles, religions\u2026 \u2013 d\u2019autres dimensions, nouvellement \u00e9tudi\u00e9es par la micro-histoire, ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9gration des populations immigr\u00e9es. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migrations-et-integrations-les-villes-globales-en-mediterranee-au-18eme-siecle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lire l\u2019article.<\/a><\/li><li>Depuis plus de cinquante ans, nos d\u00e9placements transnationaux, principalement a\u00e9riens, ont cru \u00e0 un rythme exponentiel. En mars dernier, ils furent brutalement suspendus en vue de contenir la diffusion plan\u00e9taire de la Covid. En s\u2019appuyant sur des enqu\u00eates r\u00e9centes, Ettore Recchi dessine dans son article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/avant-le-deluge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab Avant le d\u00e9luge : l\u2019irr\u00e9ductible croissance des mobilit\u00e9s humaines dans le monde d\u2019avant la Covid \u00bb<\/a>, une g\u00e9ographie particuli\u00e8re de nos voyages durant les derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies et s\u2019interroge sur les perspectives de leur reprise. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/avant-le-deluge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lire l\u2019article<\/a>.<\/li><li>Juriste, Louis Imbert inscrit sa contribution \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/les-etrangers-imagines-par-le-droit-constitutionnel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab Les \u00e9trangers imagin\u00e9s par le droit constitutionnel \u00bb<\/a> \u2013 dans une analyse culturelle et comparative des droits nord-am\u00e9ricain et colombien relatifs aux \u00e9trangers. Apparaissent alors deux politiques judiciaires radicalement diff\u00e9rentes, l\u2019une fond\u00e9e sur le principe d\u2019exclusion, l\u2019autre se basant sur le devoir de solidarit\u00e9, toutes deux ayant un impact d\u00e9terminant sur notre perception des immigr\u00e9s, tout autant que sur leur quotidien. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/les-etrangers-imagines-par-le-droit-constitutionnel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lire l\u2019article<\/a>.<\/li><li>Entre exclusion et int\u00e9gration, il faut aussi s\u2019int\u00e9resser aux politiques en demi-teinte, qui n\u2019acceptent ni ne refusent la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019immigr\u00e9s, mais les int\u00e8grent dans le monde du travail, en fermant les yeux sur les pratiques ill\u00e9gales des recruteurs. C\u2019est ce qu\u2019expose Lucas Puygrenier dans son article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/travail-des-migrants-des-politiques-au-service-des-regimes-de-production\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab Travail des migrants : des politiques au service des r\u00e9gimes de production \u00bb<\/a> fond\u00e9 sur une enqu\u00eate sur la fa\u00e7on dont sont employ\u00e9s les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s et demandeurs d\u2019asile \u00e9chou\u00e9s sur l\u2019\u00eele de Malte. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/travail-des-migrants-des-politiques-au-service-des-regimes-de-production\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lire l\u2019article<\/a>.<\/li><li>L\u2019impact des migrations sur le march\u00e9 du travail suscite des pol\u00e9miques sans fin : les immigr\u00e9s constituent-ils un r\u00e9servoir de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre n\u00e9cessaire ou une concurrence nuisible aux travailleurs \u201cautochtones\u201d ? Si ce d\u00e9bat divise l\u2019opinion publique, il en va de m\u00eame parmi les \u00e9conomistes. Dans son article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migration-salaire-et-emploi-un-apercu-de-la-recherche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab Migration, salaire et emploi : un aper\u00e7u de la recherche \u00bb<\/a>, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Thiollet et Florian Oswald dressent un tableau d\u2019une multiplicit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9tudes empiriques, en pointant les \u00e9l\u00e9ments \u00e0 prendre en compte pour \u00e9tablir une vision mieux ajust\u00e9e \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migration-salaire-et-emploi-un-apercu-de-la-recherche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lire l\u2019article<\/a>.<\/li><li>Mettre fin aux discriminations et au racisme syst\u00e9mique touchant les immigr\u00e9s et leurs descendants mobilise de plus en plus nombre de citoyens. En r\u00e9action, l\u2019extr\u00eame droite leur oppose l\u2019existence d\u2019un racisme anti-blanc. Pour analyser la pertinence de ce dernier concept, Daniel Sabbagh dans son article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/le-racisme-anti-blancs-existe-t-il\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab Le racisme blanc existe-t-il ? \u00bb<\/a> s\u2019attache \u00e0 d\u00e9cortiquer les fondements du racisme, ou plut\u00f4t des racismes. En portant son attention sur leurs m\u00e9canismes et leurs cons\u00e9quences concr\u00e8tes, il en appelle \u00e0 remettre les pendules \u00e0 l\u2019heure. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/le-racisme-anti-blancs-existe-t-il\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lire l\u2019article<\/a>.<\/li><li>Mettant en avant les limites des travaux trop concentr\u00e9s sur les politiques migratoires des \u00c9tats occidentaux, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Thiollet, dans son article \u00ab <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/deconfiner-les-politiques-migratoires-lacunes-et-biais-des-debats-scientifiques\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">D\u00e9confiner les politiques migratoires: lacunes et biais des d\u00e9bats scientifiques<\/a> \u00bb, invite \u00e0 r\u00e9inventer les recherches sur les politiques migratoires. Elle y propose de multiplier les \u00e9tudes relatives aux pays du Sud comme destination des migrations, et surtout de consid\u00e9rer la migration non pas seulement comme l\u2019objet des politiques migratoires mais aussi comme un des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes constitutifs des \u00c9tats-nations. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/deconfiner-les-politiques-migratoires-lacunes-et-biais-des-debats-scientifiques\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lire l\u2019article.<\/a><\/li><li>Face \u00e0 un sujet si vaste et si d\u00e9terminant pour une \u00e9volution pacifi\u00e9e des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migrations-les-projets-de-recherches-en-cours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">les projets de recherche<\/a>ont toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 nombreux. Nous pr\u00e9sentons ici les directions et m\u00e9thodes d\u2019un \u00e9chantillon de projets r\u00e9cemment engag\u00e9s : politisation des minorit\u00e9s asiatiques en France, \u00e9tablissement de statistiques au niveau europ\u00e9en, traitement m\u00e9diatique des \u00ab crises \u00bb migratoires, r\u00f4le des mobilit\u00e9s dans les relations interculturelles et les progr\u00e8s technologiques, externalisation des politiques migratoires. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migrations-les-projets-de-recherches-en-cours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00c0 d\u00e9couvrir ici<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><div id=\"tab-69f74cf58c86e-2\" ><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Social groups and individuals have always moved, more or less permanently. These moves, in all their diversity over time and space, feature many motives, trajectories, and repercussions \u2013 hence the imperative to analyse them with an equally multifaceted focus. The numerous research projects conducted at Sciences Po, particularly within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/migration-diversite\/home\/\">Migration and Diversity <\/a>group, reflect this and seek to develop new approaches.<\/p><p>This dossier presents an overview of their insights:<\/p><ul><li>Arrested in Tehran in June 2019, and then sentenced to 5 years in prison on the basis of false accusations, our colleague, Fariba Adelkhah has long studied a wide range of travels. In this introductory article \u2013 \u00a0\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/rereading-fariba-adelkhah-on-the-road-from-teheran-to-damascus\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rereading Fariba Adelkhah: on the road from Teheran to Damascus<\/a>\u201d \u2013 we present one of her works, in which she reveals the unexpected dimensions of a pilgrimage of Iranian women to Damascus. Her anthropological perspective uncovers the social significance of the details of daily life.<\/li><li>With his article on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migration-and-integration-global-cities-of-the-mediterranean-region-in-the-18th-century\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Migration and integration: global cities in the Mediterranean in the 18th century<\/a>\u201d, David Do Pa\u00e7o presents the ways in which foreign communities have integrated Mediterranean cities in the modern era. He shows that beyond the collective factors \u2013 \u2018Nations\u2019, families, and religions\u2026 \u2013 other dimensions newly studied in micro-history contributed to the integration of immigrant populations.<\/li><li>For more than fifty years, transnational travel, mainly by air, has exponentially grown. Last March, it was abruptly suspended in order to contain the global spread of Covid. Based on recent surveys, in his article \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/before-the-deluge\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Before the Deluge Before the flood: the irreducible growth of human mobility in the world before Covid<\/a>\u201d, Ettore Recchi outlines the particular geography of our travels over the past few decades and explores the prospects for their recovery.<\/li><li>Legal expert Louis Imbert\u2019s contribution \u2013 \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/when-constitutional-law-imagines-foreigners\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">When Constitutional Law Imagines Foreigners<\/a>\u201d \u2013 is a cultural and comparative analysis of North American and Colombian law relating to foreigners. It presents two radically different legal policies: one based on the principle of exclusion, and the other based on the duty to show solidarity, both of which have significantly impacted our perception of immigrants, as well as their daily lives.<\/li><li>Between exclusion and integration, it is also important to consider partial policies that neither accept nor refuse immigrants, but rather integrate them into the labor market, turning a blind eye to the illegal practices of recruiters. This is what Lucas Puygrenier exposes in his article \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migrant-labor-policies-serving-production-systems\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Migrant labor: policies serving production systems<\/a>\u201d, drawing on a study of the employment of refugees and asylum seekers who make it to the island of Malta.<\/li><li>The impact of migration on the labor market is endlessly controversial: do immigrants form a needed labor pool, or is their competition harmful to \u201cnative\u201d workers? This question divides both public opinion and economists. In his article on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migration-wages-and-unemployment\/?lang=en\">Migration, Wages and (un)Employment<\/a>\u201d, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Thiollet and Florian Oswald present many empirical studies while highlighting the elements to consider in order to build a perspective that better reflects reality.<\/li><li>Citizens are increasingly mobilising to end the discrimination and systemic racism affecting immigrants and their descendants. In response, the far right is pointing to anti-white racism. To analyse the relevance of this latter concept, Daniel Sabbagh in his article \u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/is-there-such-a-thing-as-anti-white-racism\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Is There Such a Thing as \u201cAnti-White Racism\u201d?<\/a>\u201d, delves into the foundations of racism, or rather racisms. By focusing on their mechanisms and actual consequences, he sets the record straight.<\/li><li>Highlighting the limitations an excessive research focus on the migration policies of Western states in her article \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/unlocking-migration-politics-gaps-and-biases-in-scientific-debates\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Unlocking Migration Politics: Gaps and Biases in Scientific Debates<\/a>\u201c, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Thiollet calls for reinventing research on migration policies. She suggests more studies on the countries of the South as migration destinations, and most importantly, consideration of migration both as the subject of migration policies and as one of the constitutive phenomena of nation states. .<\/li><li>Given the vast subject and its significance for the peaceful development of societies, it has been addressed in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencespo.fr\/research\/cogito\/home\/migrations-on-going-research-projects-2\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">many research projects<\/a>.
