BRIDGES cherche \u00e0 comprendre les causes et les cons\u00e9quences des narrations et des discours sur les migrations, dans un contexte de politisation et de polarisation grandissantes. Le projet, qui se focalise sur six pays Europ\u00e9ens (FR, GE, HU, IT, SP et UK), a trois objectifs principaux. Au niveau acad\u00e9mique, comprendre les processus de production des discours, leurs impacts et leurs interactions mutuels. Au niveau politique, favoriser les evidence-based policies<\/i>. Enfin, au niveau soci\u00e9tal, l’objectif est de cr\u00e9er des espaces de dialogue entre les acteurs impliqu\u00e9s dans la production de ces discours.\u00a0<\/p>

Ces objectifs ne pourront \u00eatre atteint qu’en comblant (\u00ab\u00a0bridge\u00a0\u00bb) plusieurs lacunes tant entre les disciplines qu’entre la recherche et la pratique. Le projet est financ\u00e9 dans le cadre du Programme pour la Recherche et l’Innovation Horizon 2020 de la Commission EUrop\u00e9enne, et coordonn\u00e9 par le CIDOB (Barcelona Centre for International Affairs).\u00a0<\/p>

BRIDGES\u00a0<\/strong>aims to understand the causes and consequences of migration narratives in a context of increasing politicisation and polarisation. By focusing on six current\/former EU countries (FR, GE, HU, IT, SP, and UK), it has a three-fold objective. First, at the academic level, it aims to understand the processes of narrative production and impact and their mutual interaction. Second, at the policy level, it aims to foster evidence-based policies. Third, at the societal level, our objective is to create spaces for dialogue between actors involved in narrative production.<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/div>

Le projet <\/span>INCLUSIVEPARL <\/span>Des d\u00e9mocraties inclusives ? Conceptualiser et mesurer la repr\u00e9sentation descriptive et la repr\u00e9sentation substantielle des groupes sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s, dans les parlements d\u00e9mocratiques<\/span><\/i><\/a> est dirig\u00e9 par Laura Morales et financ\u00e9 par Sciences-Po. Il \u00e9tudie la repr\u00e9sentation descriptive et substantive de sept groupes sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s dans l\u2019espace parlementaire, parmi lesquels les personnes issues des migrations et ethno-racis\u00e9es, de deux mani\u00e8res compl\u00e9mentaires. Il explore les th\u00e9ories de la repr\u00e9sentation en approfondissant en particulier le concept de \u00ab visibilit\u00e9 \u00bb tout en r\u00e9alisant un travail d\u2019identification des mesures qualitatives et quantitatives capables de rendre compte de l\u2019appartenance \u00e0 un groupe social \u00ab peu visible \u00bb. The <\/span>INCLUSIVEPARL project Inclusive Democracies? Conceptualising and Measuring the Descriptive and Substantive Political Representation of Under-represented Groups in Democratic Parliaments<\/span><\/a> is led by Laura Morales and funded by Sciences-Po. This research addresses the descriptive and substantive political representation of seven under-represented groups in 4 parliaments in Europe, including ethnic and migrant minorities, in two complementary ways. While exploring the theory of representation and examining the concept of \u201cvisibility\u201d, we identify appropriate measures of membership into \u201cless visible\u201d groups. INCLUSIVEPARL is both longitudinal and comparative. It spans over three decades (1990s-2010s) and systematically compares the findings in four established democracies: France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Depuis la crise de l\u2019Euro en 2009, l\u2019Italie a connu une nouvelle vague d\u2019\u00e9migration \u2013 autant importante que celle du d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es Soixante \u2013 qui accroit les dimensions d\u00e9j\u00e0 consid\u00e9rables de sa diaspora dans le monde : plus de cinq millions de personnes. Les statistiques officielles sont tr\u00e8s incompl\u00e8tes sur cette population. La recherche qu\u2019on propose vise \u00e0 combler cette lacune d\u2019information pour dresser un portrait syst\u00e9matique des italiens r\u00e9sidents <\/span>de facto<\/span><\/i> dans chaque pays de l\u2019UE avec une m\u00e9thodologie novatrice qui exploite les Big Data, et tout particuli\u00e8rement Facebook, le social media plus utilis\u00e9 en Europe, \u00e0 travers les API (Application Programming Interfaces) cr\u00e9es par Facebook pour cibler ses annonces publicitaires sur des populations afin d\u2019estimer les stocks migratoires. FAIRETHMIGQUANT (Making Ethnic and Migrant Minority Survey Data FAIR)\u00a0<\/strong>est un projet pilote financ\u00e9 par le Flash call, Pratiques de recherche et donn\u00e9es ouvertes<\/a>\u00a0de l’ANR. Dirig\u00e9 par Laura Morales, le projet est mis en oeuvre par le CEE<\/a>, l’Ined<\/a> et le CDSP<\/a> en collaboration avec le GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences<\/a> ainsi que d’autres organisations fran\u00e7aises et europ\u00e9ennes, et en coop\u00e9ration avec the H2020 project SSHOC<\/a> et le projet ETHMIGSURVEYDATA<\/a>. FAIRETHMIGQUANT (Making Ethnic and Migrant Minority Survey Data FAIR)<\/strong> is a pilot project funded by the French Agence Nationale de la Recherche through its <\/span>Flash call, Pratiques de recherche et donn\u00e9es ouvertes<\/span><\/a>. This project, which is led by Prof Laura Morales, is a joint effort undertaken by <\/span>CEE<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Ined<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>CDSP<\/span><\/a> in collaboration with <\/span>GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences<\/span><\/a> and other French and European organisations, and in close cooperation with the <\/span>H2020 project SSHOC<\/span><\/a> and the COST Action, <\/span>ETHMIGSURVEYDATA<\/span><\/a>. The main objectives of FAIRETHMIGQUANT are to: (1) include French surveys on EMM integration into a metadata registry being developed through ETHMIGSURVEYDATA, (2) conduct a French pilot for building an EMM component of the CESSDA-led European Question Bank (EQB), (3) leverage the lessons learned from the pilot to scale up the EMM component of the EQB to other surveys compiled by ETHMIGSURVEYDATA in 9 other European countries, and (4) foster strategic and durable relationships between French user communities and data service providers in France and Europe, so they can jointly contribute to France\u2019s participation in the open science movement.<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Le projet MAGYC<\/a> cherche \u00e0 \u00e9valuer comment la gouvernance des migrations a \u00e9t\u00e9 influenc\u00e9e par la r\u00e9cente \u00abcrise des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s\u00bb et comment les crises dans leur ensemble fa\u00e7onnent les r\u00e9ponses politiques en mati\u00e8re de migration. MAGYC (novembre 2018 – octobre 2022) est financ\u00e9 par le programme de recherche et d’innovation Horizon 2020 de la Commission europ\u00e9enne, coordonn\u00e9 par l’Observatoire Hugo <\/a>de l’Universit\u00e9 de Li\u00e8ge, et rassemble 12 partenaires internationaux<\/a>.<\/p>

The <\/span>MAGYC<\/span><\/a>\u00a0project seeks to assess how migration governance has been influenced by the recent \u201crefugee crises\u201d and how crises at large shape policy responses on migration. Une question particuli\u00e8rement\u00a0\u00a0importante En Europe concerne l’installation des groupes ethnoreligieux post-immigrants, ainsi que l’expression et l’organisation des identit\u00e9s collectives; les demandes de participation, de repr\u00e9sentation et de reconnaissance ; le r\u00f4le de la religion dans l’espace public ; et l’influence croissante de la diaspora et de la politique transnationale. Toutes ces questions ne peuvent \u00eatre correctement abord\u00e9es sans tenir compte en m\u00eame temps des diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9chelles de l’espace public europ\u00e9en dans lequel elles se d\u00e9ploient, des multiples caract\u00e8res des groupes et des multiples modes d’int\u00e9gration. C’est ce constat qui forme le point de d\u00e9part de PLURISPACE<\/a><\/strong>. Au sein d’un espace europ\u00e9en aussi complexe, nous identifions quatre approches politiques et th\u00e9oriques de la gestion de la diversit\u00e9 et de la compr\u00e9hension de l’espace public: le multiculturalisme, l’interculturalisme, le transnationalisme et le cosmopolitisme. PLURISPACE utilise ces quatre perspectives th\u00e9oriques pour comprendre comment l’espace public europ\u00e9en \u00e0 plusieurs niveaux g\u00e8re la diversit\u00e9. L’objectif principal de PLURISPACE est de contribuer \u00e0 la th\u00e9orie et \u00e0 la pratique de l’int\u00e9gration et de la gestion de la diversit\u00e9 en Europe. L\u2019accent mis par PLURISPACE sur l\u2019espace public europ\u00e9en englobe l\u2019UE, les non-membres affili\u00e9s (Norv\u00e8ge), une nouvelle cat\u00e9gorie d\u2019ex-membres de l\u2019UE (Royaume-Uni) et la dimension transnationale. Dirig\u00e9 par R. Kastoryano, professeure \u00e0 Sciences Po, le projet implique des chercheurs de l’Universit\u00e9 de Bristol, de l’Universit\u00e9 Pompeu Fabra et de l’Universit\u00e9 d’Oslo.<\/p>

In Europe, an important issue pertains to the settlement of post-immigrant ethno-religious groups, along with the expression and organization of collective identities; claims for participation\/representation and recognition; the role of religion in public space; and the increasing influence of diaspora and transnational politics. PLURISPACE<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s point of departure is that these questions cannot be properly addressed without at the same time taking into account the multilevel character of the European public space they unfold within, the multiple characters of the groups and the multiple modes of integration. Within such a complex European space, we identify four policy and theoretical approaches to diversity management and understanding of public space: multiculturalism, interculturalism, transnationalism and cosmopolitanism.\u00a0PLURISPACE uses these four theoretical perspectives to understand how the multilevel European public space manages diversity. PLURISPACE\u2019s main aim is to contribute to the theory and practice of integration and diversity management in Europe. PLURISPACE\u2019s focus on European public space encompasses the EU, affiliated non-members (Norway), a new category of ex-EU-member (UK), and the transnational dimension. Led by Prof. dr. R. PolAsie <\/b><\/a>est un projet financ\u00e9 par l\u2019ANR et par l\u2019Institut Convergences Migrations (2020-2023) qui porte sur la sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 de la participation politique en France des Asiatiques et Fran\u00e7ais d\u2019origine asiatique et sur les processus de socialisation politique avant la migration, apr\u00e8s la migration et au sein des groupes diasporiques.<\/span><\/p>

Politiques de Migration et Crise de l’Asile en Europe – PACE<\/a> est un projet financ\u00e9 par l’ANR (Juin 2019 – D\u00e9cembre 2023) dirig\u00e9 par H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Thiollet. PACE regarde comment les acteurs non-\u00e9tatiques ont r\u00e9agi \u00e0 et influenc\u00e9 la crise \u00ab\u00a0en amont\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0en aval\u00a0\u00bb des Etats et de l’UE. L’objectif est de d\u00e9crire comment ces acteurs non-\u00e9tatiques ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la construction politique de la crise, et d’expliquer comment ces nombreux acteurs per\u00e7oivent et construisent la crise, afin d’am\u00e9liorer la compr\u00e9hension de la mani\u00e8re dont es acteurs changent et se comportent dans la crise. L’originalit\u00e9 du projet d\u00e9coule de l’attention port\u00e9e aux acteurs non-\u00e9tatiques dans la crise, \u00e0 sa perspective critique et interdisciplinaire (sociologie, science politique, histoire, g\u00e9ographie et anthropologie), et la diversit\u00e9 des m\u00e9thodes employ\u00e9es pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la question de recherche.\u00a0<\/p>

The <\/span>Politics of Migration and Asylum Crisis in Europe \u2013 PACE –<\/span><\/a> is an ANR funded project (June 2019 – December 2023) headed by H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Thiollet.<\/span>\u00a0PACE looks at how non-state actors framed and reacted to the crisis \u2018above\u2019 and \u2018below\u2019 the States and the EU. It aims at describing how non-state actors have contributed to the political construction of the crisis and explaining how various non-state actors perceive and construct the crisis, to generate understandings of how they behave and change in the crisis. Its originality lies in the concern for non-state actors in the crisis, a critical and interdisciplinary perspective (sociology, political science, history, geography, anthropology) and the wide range of methods employed to answer our research questions.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>

Le projet \u201c<\/span>Repr\u00e9senter les diasporas dans les ar\u00e8nes de la coop\u00e9ration au d\u00e9veloppement. Une comparaison franco-italienne<\/span><\/a>\u201d est men\u00e9 par Claire Vincent-Mory et financ\u00e9 par la Chaire Diasporas Africaines de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Bordeaux Montaigne. Cette recherche compare la construction des cadres de la repr\u00e9sentation des organisations d\u00e9sign\u00e9es comme \u201cde migrants\u201d ou \u201cde la diaspora\u201d dans les espaces de gouvernance de la coop\u00e9ration au d\u00e9veloppement, en France et en Italie. Il interroge la mani\u00e8re par laquelle leurs membres, leurs comp\u00e9tences et les enjeux qu\u2019ils portent sont rendus pr\u00e9sents de mani\u00e8re descriptive, symbolique ou substantive dans les ar\u00e8nes du d\u00e9veloppement.<\/span><\/p>

A Franco-Italian Comparison\u201d is led by Claire Vincent-Mory and financed by the African Diasporas Chair from Bordeaux Montaigne University. This research compares the construction of the representation frames of organizations identified as \u201cmigrant\u201d or \u201cdiaspora\u201d, in French and Italian development cooperation political governance, exploring how their members, skills and issues are made present in development cooperation arenas, in descriptive, symbolic and substantive ways.<\/span><\/em><\/p>

Il explore les voies d\u2019int\u00e9gration des immigr\u00e9s aux Etats-Unis et en Europe Occidentale, en \u00e9tudiant plus sp\u00e9cifiquement les conditions dans lesquelles les groupes immigr\u00e9s poursuivent plut\u00f4t des objectifs individuels et collectifs d\u2019ordre \u00e9conomique, et les conditions dans lesquelles ils semblent plut\u00f4t prioriser l\u2019engagement et de l\u2019\u00e9mancipation politiques.     Forms of Life and Legal Integration in Europe (FOLIE)<\/a>\u00a0is a research project which started in 2016 and aims at providing a richer understanding and a deeper critique of the European Union project, by exploring the relationship between forms of life and EU law.\u00a0<\/p>

    FOLIE\u2019s objective is to tackle the role of European Union law in social relations and practices pertaining to migration, families, markets, territory, nations and other such formations of social life in Europe.     Ce projet s\u2019int\u00e9resse \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re dont la religion – en tant que croyances, pratiques et institutions – accompagne l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de la migration chez les Antillais et Antillaises vivant en France hexagonale (plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment en Ile-de-France), afin d\u2019\u00e9clairer les articulations entre religion, migration et racialisation au sein de l\u2019espace national fran\u00e7ais.

    Les recherches sur les migrations antillaises pr\u00eatent assez peu d\u2019attention aux pratiques et aux appartenances religieuses, qui jouent pourtant un r\u00f4le sp\u00e9cifique dans la vie quotidienne de beaucoup de personnes issues des Antilles. La religion offre en outre un point d\u2019entr\u00e9e particuli\u00e8rement pertinent pour analyser les tensions entre universalisme et exp\u00e9rience du racisme au sein de la citoyennet\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise. Elle participe en effet directement aux constructions identitaires individuelles et collectives, en dialogue avec d\u2019autres formes de cat\u00e9gorisations sociales comme les assignations ethno-raciales, la classe, la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration ou le genre. Ce projet met en \u0153uvre une analyse comparative et transversale de ces ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes, en investissant plusieurs terrains religieux et en d\u00e9cloisonnant l\u2019objet religieux pour l\u2019inscrire pleinement dans le contexte social o\u00f9 il prend sens.<\/p>

    La recherche s\u2019organise autour de trois axes th\u00e9matiques :<\/p>
