On November 29th and 30th 2016, the School of Public Affairs, HEC and FORCCAST organized for the first time the simulation" Richelieu 3.0 "at Sciences Po, on the challenges of a French maritime strategy by 2030. Around fifty students participated in this intense experience of negotiations.
The launching event of November 29th consisted in a round table on biodiversity and sustainable development issues with the participation of Barbara Pompili, Minister of Biodiversity, and Hédi Larbi, former Tunisian Minister and Professor at Harvard.
Simulation is a challenging pedagogical experience for immersing oneself in the complexity of situations, the maritime issues reflecting today the major debates of public affairs, the interaction of the public and the private: the energy transition, the sustainable development, industrial policies...
All through the day, the students were projected into a series of situations originating from the roles they were incarnating, for instance as politicians, high civil servants, large firms, SMEs and start-ups, associations, European actors ... At the end of the day, real actors from the sector came to share their experience and knowledge with students.
