[INTERVIEW] “Content Policy: is transparency enough?” with Rachel Griffin

Rachel Griffin is a PhD candidate and lecturer at Sciences Po Law School and research assistant at the Digital, Governance & Sovereignty Chair.

In this interview, Rachel considers whether transparency regulation alone is enough to make platforms improve their content policy. She notes how platforms may have other incentives that are influencing their behaviour, which can limit the effects of transparency. For example, platforms’ dependence on advertising revenue means advertisers have a strong influence on platforms’ content policies.’
