Dr Sima Samar, Minister for human rights and international relations of Afghanistan, former (and first) Minister of Women's Affairs in Afghanistan (2001-2002), former United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in the Sudan (2005-2009), member of the United Nations Secretary General’s High-Level Advisory Board on Mediation (since January 2019), member of the United Nations Secretary General’s High-Level Panel on Internal Displacement (since December 2019)
