Carlos Moedas joins PSIA

PSIA has formally appointed Carlos Moedas, former European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, to be the president of the Advisory Board for its European Science Diplomacy Initiative (ESDI), which was launched in May 2019.

The ESDI aims at developing teaching and research activities as well as raising awareness of the ever-increasing role of science diplomacy in international relations. The works of the advisory board will also aim at creating bridges between hard sciences, social sciences, and humanities, while promoting a European approach on the subject. Through this endeavour, PSIA is working to increase the number of courses offered to students on this important topic.
