Bio :

Robin Stryker’s research interest focuses on sociology of law, political sociology, sociological theory and methods, stratification, comparative & historical sociology, economic sociology, and organizational, institutional, cultural, and social change. She has conducted comparative research on the effectiveness of ant discriminatory law on voting rights, job access and housing. She recently completed a co-edited book with LaDawn Haglund on Closing the Rights Gap: From Human Rights to Social Transformation (University of California Press, 2015). Supported by the National Science Foundation and a John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, she is completing a book on the role of economic, sociological, psychological and statistical expertise in equal employment opportunity law and politics, 1965 to present.
