Founded in 1872, Sciences Po is a highly selective research university known for its academic excellence and international focus. Every year, this prestigious institution opens its doors to students, graduates, and professionals from around the world for intensive study programmes in the Social Sciences.

The Summer School offers two programmes:

• The University Programme, open to university students, graduates, and professionals, as well as
students in their final year of secondary school. Courses are available on campus for both June and July, and online courses are available in July.

• The Pre-College Programmes, open to high school students who will be enrolled in secondary school in Fall 2024. This summer, two programmes
will be offered: one on-campus and one online. Students will have the choice of three distinct sessions as part of the online programme.

Study Social Sciences or French language

The Summer School inspires students to cultivate their academic curiosity as they expand their perspectives and learn to tackle today’s most pressing issues.

Courses are organised in small-group, interactive seminars that allow students to engage closely with renowned professors and other keen students from around the world. These specially designed courses allow for maximum interaction through debates and discussions. Participants in the Summer School’s University Programme can study the Social Sciences or French language.

Students can choose to take an optional elective course to explore a new topic, or to combine the study of Social Sciences and French language.

Student Testimonies

“The Summer School is a great opportunity for you to discover your goals and talents as you interact with great students from all over the world.”

Eric, Uganda, University Programme

“I had so many mind-opening conversations with my professors and peers. I learned so much about myself through these conversations and special moments abroad. I came out a different person and it was the best summer of my life!”

Lily, USA, University Programme

“It was a unique opportunity to study political science in the beautiful city of Paris. The diversity of students in my class and the wide range of nationalities gave us broader perspectives in finding worldwide solutions to problems.”

Tom, Netherlands, University Programme

“I think something I have really appreciated is that I feel a lot more confident in myself, in how I articulate myself and the questions I would want to know but maybe not ask in certain spaces. And I think it’s been quite enlightening. To have so much access to so many resources has been amazing.”

Savannah, United Kingdom, University Programme

Student Testimonies

“The diversity of student profiles has truly had a huge impact on my experience and made the discussions more entertaining and appealing. I truly enjoy talking with my classmates! I find that they have great mindsets and a very high level of knowledge as well.”

Wonjoon, South Korea

“The Pre-College programme really prepared me for college. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience that I don’t think I would get anywhere else, so this whole experience for me was eye-opening.”

Emma, USA

“What I enjoyed most I’d say is the quality of all the professors. They were truly outstanding!  They went out of their way to really provide an interactive experience, great explanations and to include us in their content.”

Thibault, Netherlands

“You are definitely going to get something out of this programme, whether it’s knowledge, experience or friendships. It’s definitely an opportunity to see the world through a different lens, through the social scientist perspective.”

Kara, Singapore

"This online learning experience made me feel like I was in the classroom. We managed to interact so much. We’ve learned together. We’ve laughed together. We’ve joined the social activities together. I felt that we’ve created a bond, even though it was through a screen, so I’m really grateful for having this class. I think this programme meets the target for how online learning experiences should actually be."

Mara-Denisa, Romania
