Following the “Wise Cities” Conference held in Paris at Sciences Po from March 8th-9th, 2018 under the Kuwait Program, and in collaboration with Barcelona Center for International Affairs (CIDOB), 20 researchers, experts and practitioners joined forces to write a book contributing to an important discussion on social and environmental sustainability of urban growth in the Mediterranean, the Middle East and beyond.
This book is seperated into five sections, covering conceptual issues, environmental sustainability, social sustainability, economic issues and two case studies beyond the mediterranean: the Gulf and Sub-Saharan Africa.
