(*) The UQ Future Leaders program recognises graduating students who have gone beyond their typical program of studies to make a positive impact on campus, their community and even the world. Only a small proportion of the near 10,000 new alumni each year are recognised for demonstrating a superior commitment to leadership, enriching the student experience and advancing the UQ community.
Built on a broad interpretation of leadership, the program recognises both those who have directed others and those who led by setting a good example. Past inductees include UQ Advantage Award recipients, ambassadors, mentors, valedictorians, volunteers, philanthropists, emerging researchers, executive board members, world class athletes and other high achievers.
In the lead up to their graduation, UQ Future Leaders will be invited to join their peers at a complimentary and exclusive reception event to recognise their contributions and celebrate their achievements. Beyond graduation, UQ Future Leaders are permanently recognised online, invited to ongoing special events and have access to the exclusive UQ Future Leaders alumni network of classes past and present to meet like-minded UQ alumni leaders.
